The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) assists the Metropolitan Planning Organization by providing input to the transportation planning process that reflects the citizens' views and attitudes. CAC members represent a general cross section of the citizens of Sarasota and Manatee counties including the cities within the counties.
CAC meetings are held at 5 PM in the main conference room at the MPO Office located at 8100 15th Street East, Sarasota. The MPO occasionally has special meetings which will be posted on this website. Pre-Construction Meeting for I-75 at Fruitville Rd Interchange Improvements
This is a reconstruction information session hosted by FDOT for the planned $177.4 Million Diverging Diamond Interchange at Fruitville and I-75. Construction will start March 2025.

Traffic Calming Town hall (City of Sarasota)
From the City’s Event page:
The first event, a Traffic Calming Town Hall, will take place on February 19, 2025, at the City Commission Chambers (Room 101), 1565 1st Street, Sarasota, FL 34326, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. This Town Hall will feature a brief presentation, followed by a comment period. Comment cards will be made available for attendees who do not wish to speak at the meeting.
Following the public meeting, a digital survey will be conducted to gather information from community members on areas of concern and any recommendations they may have. This survey will run from February 19 to April 20, 2025.

Sarasota County Commission Hearing: Breeze OnDemand Fare Proposal
Join the Sarasota Mobility Alliance in commenting in opposition to the proposed Breeze OnDemand fare increase at the November 19th County Commission meeting. The county has proposed to increase the OnDemand fare to $6.00 over the course of the next two years, drastically burdening the transit dependent population of south Sarasota County, and reducing mobility in Venice, Englewood, and North Port. The Sarasota Mobility Alliance stands firmly in opposition to this proposal, so join us in speaking against it on 11/19!
